Shavinke Trimanne
Shavinke Trimanne holds a BSc (Hons) in Materials Engineering and is currently pursuing an MSc in FinTech. With a strong academic background and a passion for Mathematics, he is dedicated to helping students develop a deep understanding of the subject while achieving outstanding examination results.
Believing that Mathematics is more than just formulas and calculations, he strives to help students discover its logic and beauty. Having achieved an exceptional 98 in Cambridge Advanced Level Mathematics, he understands the importance of precision, effective exam techniques, and avoiding common mistakes. His teaching philosophy focuses on building strong conceptual foundations rather than relying on memorization, enabling students to solve problems confidently and independently.
With seven years of teaching experience at private tutoring institutions and three years of experience at international schools, he has successfully guided students across a range of academic levels. His engaging teaching style, thorough explanations, and personalized approach ensure that every student gains the knowledge and confidence needed to excel in Mathematics.
Recognized for his academic excellence, he was awarded Top Performer in the Materials Engineering stream. He has also successfully guided students to exceptional academic achievements, including mentoring Pujana Ekanayake to achieve "Top in the Country" for Cambridge AS Level Mathematics in 2024.
