Desmond Anthony
Desmond is a first-class graduate of the University of Moratuwa and an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (AMIESL). Since 2013, he has been teaching the Edexcel and Cambridge international curriculums at both Ordinary and Advanced Level in some of the country’s leading international schools.
With a deep understanding of the international syllabus, he adopts a student-centric approach in every lesson. Desmond is known for simplifying even the most complex theories to suit each student’s level of understanding—without compromising on exam expectations. He ensures syllabus coverage well in advance, allowing ample time for thorough revision and exam-focused preparation. All tutorial materials are personally crafted by him, and his discussions are designed to reinforce key concepts and boost student confidence.
His sessions are far from boring. Desmond maintains an energetic and engaging classroom atmosphere, using relevant humour and drawing examples from everyday life—including movies and real-world scenarios—to make lessons more relatable. He welcomes questions during or after class, making sure no student is left behind.
